501df49cbb stream wrapper interface is now eGW VFS interface 
- if you already run the 1.5.003 update (AND modified anything in the VFS), you have to re-run it, to not loose your modifications or risk an inconsistent VFS (DB does not match filesystem)
- to re-run the 1.5.003 update (only if your version is already 1.5.003 or bigger!) run the following sql:
UPDATE egw_applications SET app_version=1.5.002 WHERE app_name=phpgwapi
- the new vfs supports now an extended ACL, if that is supported by the backend (sqlfs only currently)
- eacl allows to set separate recursive acl rights for different users or groups on a directory (and subdirs)
- former group grants of group dirs are converted to eacl, thought we only support read or read+write access (no extra add or delete)
- attachments via the links class now also use a stream wrapper interface (links_stream_wrapper) and WebDAV as download handler (which requires no longer filemanager run rights)

15ca7e90ed eGW wide index over all applications (superindex) 
This index allows a fulltext search over all applications (or of
cause also a single app).
Whenever an applications stores an entry it calls: 

             boolean egw_index::save($app,$id,$owner,array $fields,array $cat_id=null)

which calls, as the application do when is deletes an entry (!), 

             boolean egw_index::delete($app,$id)

and then splits all fields into keywords and add these to the index by 

             boolean private egw_index::add($app,$id,$keyword).

Applications can then use the index to search for a given keyword
(and optional application):

             array egw_index::search($keyword,$app=null) or

             foreach(new egw_index($keyword,$app=null) as $app_id => $title)

To also allow to search by a category or keyword part of it, the index
also tracks the categories of the entries. Applications can choose to
only use it for category storage, or cat do it redundant in there own
table too. To retrieve the categories of one or multiple entries: 

             array egw_index::cats($app,$ids)

Applications can use a sql (sub-)query to get the id's of there app
matching a certain keyword and include that in there own queries:

             string egw_index::sql_ids_by_keyword($app,$keyword)

Please note: the index knows nothing about ACL, so it's the task of
the application to ensure ACL rights.

8afe9094b7 More improvments of the sqlfs code and the command line interface: 
- read rights are not checks in each traversed directory (via sql in a single query to locate the path)
- diropen additionally checks for execute rights
- fopen checks for read or write depending on the mode
- chmod, chgrp, chown methods in sqlfs and egw_vfs/vfs plus an egw_vfs::$is_root var used to grant root rights (no access controll and chown or chgrp without being the owner of a file)
- find method (some more params to come) to recursivly search and optionaly execute some callback
- egw_vfs::remove doing a "rm -r" / recursive remove or dirs and files
- new files or dirs inherit the perms and ownership from the parent directory (no umask)
- files/dirs the user has no read rights, in a directory where he has no write rights, get hidden (eg. not showing all the other users / groups home dirs
- many new cli commands (chmod, chgrp, chown, find), recursive option for most commands and the ability to use it with root rights, see the usage message if called without options
- "cp -r -p" to copy a whole tree incl. ownership and perms, eg. backing up /home to /backup

3304616642 Circumvent a bug in some distributions of apache/mod_php, where an apache 
child, that has executed a php script with mbstring.func_overload=7 once, will
overload substr() in a later execution of another php script, even if the
Location context of that script has mbstring.func_overload=0 set. Since the
WBXML decoder works byte-by-byte to determine substring length, it fails, if
mb_substr() is used. This patch prevents this.

e71608d8cc new sqlfs stream wrapper, as replacement for the old vfs class (it uses the PDO extension, as PDO allows to access BLOBs as streams), the update create a new egw_sqlfs table and fills it with the content of the old vfs (egw_vfs table), BOTH use the same files in the filesystem, so beware if you delete something in one or the other, this is definitly NOT for production systems 2008-02-18 06:52:07 +00:00

- added some caching to not read the config more then once per request
- moved the get_customfields and get_content_type methods here from admin.customfields

2aa82e48ff expanding the autoload function to enable it to step through the registered modules to find old naming shema classes. 
This is due to a bug in felamimail, when typing an address, the auto completion produces an XML Error, because the
socontacts_sql class is not found. 
The problem may be resolved by another method, the solution provided here is probably not wanted, for proper style reasons, 
and will not solve all possible autoload problems.

Indicate that Funambol 6+ supports fragmentation (this solves cases where

d97f1eed5e Extend the patch to get_categories in infolog submitted by matthias to the other classes as well. 
Added a hack that allows one to search for the categories' names prefixed by X-
Sony Ericsson phones (and possibly others) systematically prepend a X- to the 
category names, so with this patch we match X-CatName just like CatName

This is only done for SyncML obviously.

logout+mbstring stuff), small modification to use the already exiting
methodes to generate full name and fileas)
The code is commited to trunk only at the moment to allow testing of it.
If everything goes well, we intend to commit it to 1.4 branch too.
Here's the original description of the patch by Patrick:
- handles the default config for current versions of funambol (i.e. the
scard/stask/snote/scal locations)
- tries to be a bit smarter on how the data content should be encoded
based on what the client specified (sif+base64/vcard, / fragmented or
not, etc.)
- workaround a bug in some versions of funambol, where funambol does not
specify the proper sif type for the type of requested data
- imported patch #117 from egw's tracker
- make sure that the logs generated by the horde code go to stderr so
they can be view in the webserver's logs
- as much as possible reduce code duplication. For example, the
categories are handled in the parent classes for both the SIF avn VCAL
formats for each type of data (addressbook,infolog,calendar).
- make sure the code can handle more than one categories in each
  direction
- treat the 'sony ericsson' vendor string just like 'sonyericsson', the
newer phones apparently have a space in the vendor string... (this
touches some files in the icalsrv as well)
- handle notes: these should now work with everything (funambol or
  other)
- remove more code duplication: the syncml "api" for the various data
types (calendar, contacts, infolog) is now common for both the vcard and
sif data formats (cf the files that need to be removed)
- handle the "privat" filter in infolog like the "private" filter (some
part of the code use the name without the trailing e)
- imported patch # 267 from egw's tracker

dc2acf4428 added OpenOffice Fileextensions to class.mime_magic.inc.php; 
fixed a problem for the refreshing of a directory: mime_types got lost, when refreshing and the mime type could not be determined by get_real_info.
the fix uses the phpgwapi.mime_magic.ext2mime function to determine the mime_type if the common method fails to find one.

It turned out to be a caching problem, as the cache of the accounts-class still contained a failed id2name resolution for the new account.
This was caused by the session-restore with stored the cache in the global accounts object ($GLOBALS[egw]->accounts) too.
Now the global cache is in the global account-object and all other account objects use just a reference to that cache. It get stored from common::egw_final by calling $GLOBALS[egw]->accounts->save_session_cache() in the session."

4c641f2769 iconv can not convert from/to utf7-imap. Added support for conversion based on the functions provided by the imap extension. 
Returning the unconverted string when conversion using iconv failed. This was also not working before.

a166bb0f57 reworked and refractured the way template sets work in eGW: 
- virtual baseclass egw_framework in the API which each template extends
- replaces $api/footer.inc.php, $tpl/head.inc.php & $tpl/navbar.inc.php
- all existing phplib template sets just inherit the idots_framework, but can have own templates
- moved most html from navbar.inc.php into the navbar.tpl
--> idots & jerryr are reworked and working, all other template sets are disabled at the moment
--> The rework was done to add a selectbox to add all sorts of entries without the need to change to the app first. This is now implemented in the egw_framework class using the link-registry.

1ba36a6ca5 Horde::iCalendar vcalendar export bug 
Special characters in text field are not scaped when events or todos are exported. For example, ',' in the description field are send literal. According to rfc2445 section 4.3.11 there are some characters which must be scaped or quoted. This patch tries to solved this problem.

be7cca8a44 improved handling of devinfo. Now we check if we have the needed datastore info for every alert. If we don't have them, we request the devinfo. 
That's important for the synthesis client, which (can) send different datastore options, depending on the enabled datasources on the client.

28ea28e013 For the initial release of Credits Point we need add one API class 
Credits Point will introduce payed services in to egroupware. Payments are 
handled via Payment Service Provider Plugins. Credits Point is compatible 
with OsCommerce for these plugins so we have access to hundreds of payment 
plugins.

Developers can register functionality in the CP service database. CP admins
can offer registered functionality as payed service to the eGW users.

558a52b491 1) fixed critical bug in links class: viewing an entry which has links to other entries, for which the user has no view permissions, caused the deleting of the links to these entries. The title function/hook returns now null to indicate an entry does not exist (and all links can be deleted) or false (as previously allways) if there are insufficent rights to view the title. Links get now only deleted in the first case, if title() returns null

61b6d0b993 moved contact-data (firstname, lastname and email) from the account-table to the contact table: 
- all (sql) accounts have now allways a contact associated with them (account_id is added as new column to the contacts table)
- contacts queries are simplefied a lot now, as no more join with the accouns-table, union and case when statesments are necessary
- lot of the special handling for accounts in the contacts class is no longer needed
- new contact-repository mode "sql-ldap" which additional writes all changes to the ldap repository, to allow to use it read-only from eg. thunderbird and still have the full sql speed and features within eGW (not yet fully working!)
==> requites update of API and addressbook to work (setup!)

98d8b30761 rewrite of the accounts classes: 
- new cleaner AND documented interfaces
- old interfaces are still availible, but depricated
- LDAP backend stores now membership information in LDAP too, and does NO longer require the phpgwAccount schema
- LDAP backend deals now well with LDAP schema in which posixGroup is no structural object (eg. newer SuSE distros)
- password from users are done now binded as that user, so if you dont need/use our admin to manage accounts, you can give a root-dn which only allows to search&read accounts

It is the simple patch to prevents the segfaulting of horde on ical with
spaces in the begin:vevent etc lines. (just \W\w replaced by \S if I
remember well at one place..)

The second patch is for getting rid of some php5 warnings when it
encounters the array_merge() in setParameter(). (only a simple cast to
an array).

ef43034467 added some stuff for handling db-charsets: 
- db-version gets now queried after the connection is made and before we select the DB, to be availible if the db not yet exists
- create_database can set now the default charset for mysql4.1+, that might make sense for Postgres too
- mysqlt is now translated to mysql in db::Type, as it's queried in many places, which do not recognise mysqlt. You can find the untranslated value now in db::setupType

Please note: If you already edited your phpgwapi/inc/functions.inc.php to switch it off, you will get an cvs conflict on updating, just do a "cvs update -C phpgwapi/inc/functions.inc.php" to fix it. If you want to use the session restore or you already used it, you need to go to Setup >> Headeradmin and switch it on there.

f99f2ef4e8 1) eGW enviroment (egw_info-array and egw-object) can now be stored in a php-session and restored from there. It is no longer necessary to create it on every page-request. 
At the moment you need to log out to activate any changes in the config, preferences or the apps enabled for a user. This can be changed easily by invalidating the cache.
2) New way to create an anoymous session: you can specify a callback function, which gets called if the session could not be verified. The callback can use the DB or instanciate a config object to get the account-date, which it returns. A new session get then created.

- accept both simple and extended format from input

- output simple format, if the client sends a HTTP-header "isoDate: simple".
  This should maybe extended by another possibility, where the information
  is stored in the session on login. Then there is a good way for all

  login/cookies and webservers.

0a28f3812e Some changes: 
- Inclusion of the following javascript directories:
  * Connector: javascript object to interface xmlhttprequest object. This object allows
      asynchronous posts and support for messages while this post is being done, such as
      "wait, contacting server", etc.
  * JsAPI: general javascript functions and methods
  * jsolait: performs conversion from a xmlrpc message to a javascript object
  * xmlRpcMsgCreator: performs conversion from a javascript object to a xmlrpc message
  * dynapi: cross-browser class to draw layers

- Update in setup version: now is 1.0.1.008; Update your versions. There was made a
  change in phpgw_vfs2_files table in handling of modified files.

- Upgrade of vfs2 classes and PclZip class

- Changes in javascript object and common object to allow the javascript backend to
  applications to work (now just filescenter will use it...)

- fixed a problem php5 complained about, which is present in php4 too: arrays in $GLOBALS[egw][server] are NOT unserialized. As this seems to be only used for the lang_ctimes, I just took care of it here

a9e8ee4e1c some fixes: 
- using string 'not set' for a not set lastname, as LDAP allows no accounts without lastname.
- addaccount hook was not called if account was auto-created at login-time (as the apps array is not yet read). Atm. app-names with hooks need to be listed here. I just added felamimail, which need to create mailboxes for new users

b883eca49d new auth_ads class: 
- only needs host- and domain-name
- needs NO extra account on the ADS host
- can be used with accounts in SQL or LDAP to auto-create autheticated users
- new param to lowercase the user-names before auto-creating them (to deal with case-insensitve and case-sensitive system)

1a5243c9c4 _check_script_tags function: 
1) fixed problems pointed out by gulftech, iframes get now unset too
2) unset variables from _check_script_tags are now found in $GLOBALS['egw_unset_vars'], eg. a posted input-field called content would be found in $GLOBALS['egw_unset_vars']['_POST[content]'] (please not the array is only 1-dimensional!), if it has been unset by check_script_tags
3) speed up the function a bit, by not checking all possible names of the superglobals arrays, if nothing found in $_GET and $_POST

I backported them to 1.0.0 too, but will give it a view days testing on my server and egroupware.org, before I commit them

9a6b90e78f 1) enabled DB support additionaly for: 
- Oracle via oci8 or odbc extension
- MsSql via odbc extension
2) added checks for the neccesary extension incl. loading them if they are not loaded by default: db extensions and session extension. This is now consitent wiht check_install.
3) sessions class tries now to load the php session extension and silently fallbacks to db-sessions
