2f1333a116 return and show in browser JSON parsing errors maybe caused by network problems 
server sends HTTP status "400 Bad Request" with JSON payload with "error" and "errno" attributes.
error is json_last_error_msg() prefixed with "JSON ".
Not yet implemented is resending the request (max. twice) for JSON parsing errors to try to work around network problems

419b1656fb fixing the fix again: removing check from client side 
We can not use "(?<![.\s])", used to check that name-part does not end in
a dot or white-space. The expression is valid in recent Chrome, but fails
eg. in Safari 11.0 or node.js 4.8.3 and therefore grunt uglify!
Server-side will fail in that case because it uses the full regexp.
