[xinit][xinit] is used to run the X display server with `startx`.

## Use Cases

||

xinit can be used to:

|
|
|
||
|
|
- Start X from a tty
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
You should not use xinit if:
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
- You use a display manager that bypasses the tty
|
||
|
