f342218993 archlinux: Properly state how locales are created and used
It turns out that locale.gen is used to generate the locales that
can be set with locale.conf.

17ee1c287b archlinux: Always uncomment lines in locale.gen
It turns out that replacing the contents of locale.gen with the locales
you want is not a good idea, since then it is impossible to reference
the file at a later date to make changes as needed.

a114435391 archlinux: Fix HiDPI font for virtual console
It turns out the font that I was setting before didn't actually do
anything. This is the real way to double the font size in your virtual
console, particularly useful for HiDPI displays, since your tty does not
know about your X DPI.

1fea6d782d archlinux: Swap username and hostname inputs
Since the username appears before the hostname (user@host), and since
anyone using these install scripts will probably want to log in with the
local user account and not the root account, this change makes sense.

fdd5e27de8 archlinux: Create systemd output directories as needed
Symlinking the service files manually works, but it is not guaranteed
that these directories will already be created after the pacstrap step.

83c1c72655 archlinux: Remove unnecessary mkinitcpio call
Since mkinitcpio is already ran on the installation of the linux
package with pacstrap, and since we don't change any config settings,
recreating the initramfs is not necessary.

be6a7a8316 archlinux: Remove virtual console keymap settings
It turns out that this doesn't actually do anything since the default
keymap is already "us".

29c7965ace archlinux: Use GiB by default during installation
Since we already specify that the size is "(in GiB)", the user should
not be expected to repeat this information in the input.

54d2824113 archlinux: Finalize install.sh
This should work, although I haven't tested it yet.

In the future it may be easier to simply download the other install
scripts from this install script. That way we solve the problem of
having to unzip this entire repository in the installation image.

1d67bf6d74 meta: Make Arch installation passwd interactive
Instead of trying to automatically set the password to something easy to
remember, it is probably better to simply ask for the password upfront.

0c8cfe8cc2 archlinux: Ask for confirmation before installation
This should ensure that a user knows what they're doing before running
the install scripts. Note that parted will also ask for a confirmation
before overwriting existing data.

69e2a52bf2 tari-web: Remove unnecessary dependencies
Since fonts and other desktop-related packages are now handled by
tari-desktop, this is no longer necessary. Note that I also created
tari-web before I figured out HiDPI support for Qt and GTK applications.

83598a092c meta: Remove tari-util
I initially created tari-util as a package to be pre-built and installed
in the installation media. This was a while ago, and now that I know
exactly how the installation process and PKGBUILDs work, all the
previous issues I had with makepkg turned out to not be issues at all.

Since I am trying to get 004-postinstall to work in the installation
media, the config paths need /mnt added to them.

4b97b8df9d archlinux: Handle reads through new install.sh
This not only fixes the issue where set -x would cause the read
line to be altered, but also separates user input from what the
install scripts actually do.

e75dd9cc77 archlinux: Remove shortened timeouts from system.conf
I added shortened systemd timeouts when I didn't know how to use
journalctl. But now that I know enough to fix things that might
stall these commands, this is no longer necessary.

5e3b57d42f archlinux: Remove redundant timedatectl command
Since all systemd's timedatectl does is create the same symlink we
made in the installation media, duplicating it here isn't necessary.

622a01a711 meta: Remove rofi-pass
As much as rofi-pass may appear to be useful, it is simply easier to
just use the pass command directly, especially if you have a passphrase
set on the private encryption key you use to unlock passwords.

9f27d4e13a meta: Remove launch dependency
Now that I know how to use terminal multiplexers, and now that I
understand more about how shells and terminals work, the launch
dependency is no longer necessary.

Additionally, *too many* abbreviations is difficult to use in the long
term, no matter how short the commands are. Since I don't need to launch
programs from the terminal as often anymore (now that I use rofi and
other programs), this change makes sense.

440324f99c archlinux: Update README
As a side note, running a bootstrap.sh in a post-install environment is
significantly easier (and more practical) than trying to accomplish
every step before a reboot in the installation image. This separates
things like making partitions from the actual system.

72b2df5864 PKGBUILDs: Add tari-plasma and tari-gnome
Note that most (if not all) of these programs can run inside any
environment with the same expected behavior, not just Plasma and GNOME,
provided the proper environment variables and config values are set.

74b6975ba5 PKGBUILDs: Add tari-util-xeventbind
xeventbind is a useful program that lets you run any command on
resolution change, similar to how GNOME on Wayland is able to change
scaling on on resolution change, but not exactly.

Since we're still using X, existing programs are not affected; they
have to be restarted instead.

0a5d8f0d75 PKGBUILDs: Add tari-desktop, tari-cli, and tari-bspwm
Now that I understand more about how GNU/Linux distributions, display
managers, and X sessions work, it makes sense to separate meta packages
based on environment used.

When you use a display manager, you're just starting X in a fancy way.
Since you can run any program you want on the X server, it is easy to
install multiple desktop environments on the same machine and switch
between them easily, provided your setup is adequately modular (which
it should be by default).

616048bd3f archlinux: Add VerbosePkgLists to pacman.conf
Here I commit the addition of VerbosePkgLists for reference. It turns
out that yay's package upgrade list looks significantly better than
pacman's VerbosePkgLists (and is a lot more legible).

Since pacman will not use VerbosePkgLists when the number of terminal
columns is low enough, it makes sense to simply use the default setting
instead.

200d2b9e7a archlinux: Update install scripts
Instead of running two systemctl commands (start and enable),
one can simply use `systemctl enable --now` instead.

The grub command was removed since I never used it and haven't
found a need to do so.

4387ab119c PKGBUILDs: Remove tari-urxvt
It turns out that kitty has support to change all of its colors
independently from the current terminal with a simple command. This
was the only issue I had with making pywal and kitty work together,
so I'm glad I found it.

Additionally, kitty supports DPI changes immediately (at least with
xrdb). There is no need to detach a session and open a new terminal
since kitty will handle DPI changes automatically, compared to other
terminals like urxvt, which would require a new instance. Even then,
the border padding for urxvt is not adjusted to the new DPI; kitty
is simply the way to go if your monitor setup is non-trivial.

As a side note, the kitty documentation is very good. I highly
recommend reading it if you plan to use kitty (which you should).

ad3a3fedd3 tari-dev: Add fish completions for httpie
Since the community package doesn't include the fish completions found
upstream, we install them here instead. There is already a bug report
about the fish completions, and when it eventually gets fixed, these
steps can be removed from the PKGBUILD.

f3d129362e misc: Update docs

573257c518 meta: Use archlinux instead of arch
The word "arch" by itself may be confused with architecture, so it's
probably best to go with "archlinux" instead.
