wal: Restart tint2 with new color scheme
For history's sake, I'm including how I changed the color scheme of
tint2 with wal. Note that I don't use tint2 anymore since I realized
that what I was trying to do with tint2 can already be achieved much
easier and much more polished with GNOME extensions.

pywal

pywal is a universal color scheme changer.

Use Cases

pywal can be used to:

  • Generate a color scheme from a given image
  • Choose from a set of pre-defined color schemes
  • Load your own color schemes
  • Apply a color scheme to all the programs you use with a single command

You should not use pywal if:

  • You use a desktop environment and don't mind the default look and feel of applications
