Previously only the fs being checked on gets passed to
GetModifyWindow(). However, in most tests, the test files are
generated in the local fs and transferred to the remote fs. So the
local fs time precision has to be taken into account.
This meant that on Windows the time tests failed because the
local fs has a time precision of 100ns. Checking remote items uploaded
from local fs on Windows also requires a modify window of 100ns.
Restructuring of config code in v1.55 resulted in config
file being loaded early at process startup. If configuration
file is encrypted this means user will need to supply the password,
even when running commands that does not use config.
This also lead to an issue where mount with --deamon failed to
decrypt the config file when it had to prompt user for passord.
Fixes#5236Fixes#5228
If you are using rclone a library you can decide to use the rclone
config file system or not by calling
configfile.LoadConfig(ctx)
If you don't you will need to set `config.Data` to an implementation
of `config.Storage`.
Other changes
- change interface of config.FileGet to remove unused default
- remove MustValue from config.Storage interface
- change GetValue to return string or bool like elsewhere in rclone
- implement a default config file system which panics with helpful error
- implement getWithDefault to replace the removed MustValue
- don't embed goconfig.ConfigFile so we can change the methods
This is done by making fs.Config private and attaching it to the
context instead.
The Config should be obtained with fs.GetConfig and fs.AddConfig
should be used to get a new mutable config that can be changed.
This adds a context.Context parameter to NewFs and related calls.
This is necessary as part of reading config from the context -
backends need to be able to read the global config.
- add a directory to the optional Purge interface
- fix up all the backends
- add an additional integration test to test for the feature
- use the new feature in operations.Purge
Many of the backends had been prepared in advance for this so the
change was trivial for them.
This was factored from fstest as we were including the testing
enviroment into the main binary because of it.
This was causing opening the browser to fail because of 8243ff8bc8.
Introduce stats groups that will isolate accounting for logically
different transferring operations. That way multiple accounting
operations can be done in parallel without interfering with each other
stats.
Using groups is optional. There is dedicated global stats that will be
used by default if no group is specified. This is operating mode for CLI
usage which is just fire and forget operation.
For running rclone as rc http server each request will create it's own
group. Also there is an option to specify your own group.
- Change rclone/fs interfaces to accept context.Context
- Update interface implementations to use context.Context
- Change top level usage to propagate context to lover level functions
Context propagation is needed for stopping transfers and passing other
request-scoped values.
The purpose of this is to make it easier to maintain and eventually to
allow the rclone backends to be re-used in other projects without
having to use the rclone configuration system.
The new code layout is documented in CONTRIBUTING.
Now --dump-flag is written as --dump flag. This is a comma separated list which can contain
* headers - HTTP headers as before
* bodies - HTTP bodies as before
* requests - HTTP request bodies
* responses - HTTP response bodies
* auth - HTTP auth
* filters - Filter rexeps
Leave --dump-headers and --dump-bodies for the time being but remove
the other --dump-* flags as they aren't used very often.
Optional interfaces are becoming more important in rclone,
--track-renames and --backup-dir both rely on them.
Up to this point rclone has used interface upgrades to define optional
behaviour on Fs objects. However when one Fs object wraps another it
is very difficult for this scheme to work accurately. rclone has
relied on specific error messages being returned when the interface
isn't supported - this is unsatisfactory because it means you have to
call the interface to see whether it is supported.
This change enables accurate detection of optional interfaces by use
of a Features struct as returned by an obligatory Fs.Features()
method. The Features struct contains flags and function pointers
which can be tested against nil to see whether they can be used.
As a result crypt and hubic can accurately reflect the capabilities of
the underlying Fs they are wrapping.
