now. There are some bugs and unimplemented features, however, that make
me want to use Hyprland instead.

river is a dynamic wayland compositor inspired by bspwm and dwm.

Use Cases

river can be used to:

  • Have all the advantages of Wayland, with the advantages of bspwm and dwm at the same time.

You should not use river if:

  • You should use river.
