1934c4ce6d fixed some problems: 
- in setup we have no sessions --> query the infos on each request
- if the server allows no version 2 binds, the class failed. Now we try again with version 3 set (and succeed)

98d8b30761 rewrite of the accounts classes: 
- new cleaner AND documented interfaces
- old interfaces are still availible, but depricated
- LDAP backend stores now membership information in LDAP too, and does NO longer require the phpgwAccount schema
- LDAP backend deals now well with LDAP schema in which posixGroup is no structural object (eg. newer SuSE distros)
- password from users are done now binded as that user, so if you dont need/use our admin to manage accounts, you can give a root-dn which only allows to search&read accounts

b4f3452ffc Fixed problem that on newer SuSE (and maybe other distros too) none of our required objectclasses for groups are an structural object, which caused the adding of new groups to fail. Now I add the 'namedObject' objectclass, if the first adding fails. 2006-06-03 19:44:44 +00:00

a too long account-lid caused the complete lost of run-rigths from all user and groups
--> beside fixing the real bug, I'm changing egw_accounts.account_lid to varchar(64) as varchar(25) was too small anyway

dc68edab46 fixed csv import: 
- no more caching in the cat_id function, as it's done in the categories class in the API no
- categories::name2id no longer caches not found entries, as they might be added in this request
- contacts_sql::add set's all unset telefon numbers to '', to avoid the stupid db-default '+1 (000) 000-0000', which I dont want to change in the stable release

ea0f776b92 Patch from Jan 
It is the simple patch to prevents the segfaulting of horde on ical with
spaces in the begin:vevent etc lines. (just \W\w replaced by \S if I
remember well at one place..)

The second patch is for getting rid of some php5 warnings when it
encounters the array_merge() in setParameter(). (only a simple cast to
an array).

+ setup_demo gives errors under postgres
 + setup_demo can save special chars in the admin name
- renamed setup_demo into admin_account, as setting up demo accounts is the least used function of it

ef43034467 added some stuff for handling db-charsets: 
- db-version gets now queried after the connection is made and before we select the DB, to be availible if the db not yet exists
- create_database can set now the default charset for mysql4.1+, that might make sense for Postgres too
- mysqlt is now translated to mysql in db::Type, as it's queried in many places, which do not recognise mysqlt. You can find the untranslated value now in db::setupType

1784637cff Make the PHP session restore an own session type in manageheader. So you can switch it on and off, without the need to edit the code. At the moment it's off by default, with a note that it can give a big performance boost (if it works on your distro). 
Please note: If you already edited your phpgwapi/inc/functions.inc.php to switch it off, you will get an cvs conflict on updating, just do a "cvs update -C phpgwapi/inc/functions.inc.php" to fix it. If you want to use the session restore or you already used it, you need to go to Setup >> Headeradmin and switch it on there.

f99f2ef4e8 1) eGW enviroment (egw_info-array and egw-object) can now be stored in a php-session and restored from there. It is no longer necessary to create it on every page-request. 
At the moment you need to log out to activate any changes in the config, preferences or the apps enabled for a user. This can be changed easily by invalidating the cache.
2) New way to create an anoymous session: you can specify a callback function, which gets called if the session could not be verified. The callback can use the DB or instanciate a config object to get the account-date, which it returns. A new session get then created.

c241bb3416 enhancement to the narrow_column style class so that it makes a column as narrow as possible without line-breaking its content. This is a good replacement for simple WIDTH="1%" and also helps avoiding line-breaking Chinese, Japanese and Korean text incorrectly.

Talked with Pim and tested on IE/gecko/opera8.0. for older browsers doesn't understand CSS2 it behave the same as WIDTH="1%".

de05de8d89 as I mensioned before the 1% width problem is all over egroupware and making CJK user interface ugly. A typical example is many tables are always two or three lines high for one <tr>. If you don't have a look at a CJK user interface you probably won't notice it at all. 
I introduce a global style class 'narrow_column' to address this.

64120e723c another shot at datetime.iso8601: 
- accept both simple and extended format from input

- output simple format, if the client sends a HTTP-header "isoDate: simple".
  This should maybe extended by another possibility, where the information
  is stored in the session on login. Then there is a good way for all
  clients, regardless of the use of any combination of Auth-headers,
  login/cookies and webservers.

a9e8ee4e1c some fixes: 
- using string 'not set' for a not set lastname, as LDAP allows no accounts without lastname.
- addaccount hook was not called if account was auto-created at login-time (as the apps array is not yet read). Atm. app-names with hooks need to be listed here. I just added felamimail, which need to create mailboxes for new users

2a09fe8f3e - Now class.javascript.inc.php automatically loads the specific browser JS, 
which is located at the same hierarchy, but inside a folder with the name
 of the browser. For example:
 Usual folder    => contactcenter/js/ccQuickAdd/ccQuickAdd.js
 Specific Folder => contactcenter/js/ccQuickAdd/mozilla/ccQuickAdd.js

 It falls back to the usual folder if there is no specific code.

- makes update scripts a lot easier and saver

- autom. backup before upgrades of the DB structure
- installing backups instead an installation from scratch
- own backup screen in setup and admin to:

- safari gets now recogniced as browser by the html-class
- html::htmlarea show's a textarea if HTMLarea is not availible (suppresses error with safari)
- dont show button to convert to html if:
  * HTMLarea is not availible for the browser
  * admin disabled it in the wiki configuration

954dd1d9ab Fix the bug: Fail to create text files that contain multibyte 
characters in filemanager, for exmaple, files that contain Chinese
characters.

Reason for producing the bug: One parameter of "fwrite"
is "strlen ($data['content'])". To multibyte character, "strlen" can
not return its actual length. So "fwrite" cannot write all characters
to the created file.

b68f289d87 made the update strategy of setup_process a bit more flexible: update dont need to be in order in the tables_update file any more: if the next update is not the one we need, we search for the right one and start again from there. eabf6925b5 Added an admin module for ldap based email settings (based on emailadmin) 
but reduced to those functions, which are needed to manage ldap entries, which
rely only on standard schemas (core, qmail) which are not considered "experimental"
and without the need to add a separate schema.

This modul will be extended whenever possible and approved for more values.

Main goal here is: Ability to easily use eGW Admin for account management with
LDAP beackend and to comply with those schemas, the distros are delivering.

The link for this module will be shown in addition to Lars' EmailAdmin if LDAP
is used as account storage. So it will not break existing installation ;-)

484765bd96 The issue that this fix addresses is the following: 
When using the uiaccountsel widget to select accounts, when you accidently
select something and want to deselect it, when you delete the item, the item
is only unhighlighted, and not removed from the uiaccountsel_popup_selection
select box in the opener document. This patch simply deletes the child node
from the uiaccountsel_popup_selection select box instead of setting the
selected false.

I've tested this with some variant of msie6/xp, mozilla 1.6/win32, firefox 0.9.3/linux
and mozilla 1.4.3/linux.

2425ccea19 - fix the "Home" text missing in appTitles in edge-it, idots, and jerryt

c591c2c221 fixed / added mssql support for egw and fixed some other Windows probs on the way ;-) 
- knowledgebase is not working: select distinct is not possible with text-columns
- fudforum is not working: is does not use ADOdb and has no own db-layer for mssql
- other apps seem to work, everthing needs through testing - incl. our "old" db's

f2b7d8deda Fix for the same bug as after the last import of a new adodb-version. 
I wonder, if someday all will start to patch instead of overwriting and committing.
Anyway, this bugfix will be part of the next ADODB release. See:
