5408924afb All EGroupware apps can now set default and forced preferences on 
installation time --> nice user experience and cleaner look (by hiding
exotic prefs by focing them to a usual value):
- settings returned from settings hook can contain values for keys
  'default' or 'forced'
- if settings hook require part of api or application, which are not
  available during installation time: use a method hook (instead of
  an old $app/inc/hook_settings.inc.php file), and check if
  $hook_param['setup'] is true
- default prefs created so far in setup/admin_account.php got removed
- common prefs in preferences_hooks::settings() got reworked to set
  default and forced prefs
- calendar prefs in calendar_hooks::settings() got reworked to set
  default and forced prefs
--> I will rework prefs of all our (default) applications according to a
best practice list of Stylite consultants

587bd2bc95 - added an optional timezone quick selection in top menu (it shows up 
only if you select more then one timezone to display in it)
- moved generation of beautified timezone array to egw_time
- moved all preferences hooks to a new class preferences_hooks (updated
  version so setup updates hook data, or you need to call admin>>update
  hooks)

232252475f patch fixing many depricated functions (eg. posix regular expressions) and features, which fill up the error_log under php5.3 (and will no longer be available under php6). 
Patch is mostly created by script in egroupware/doc/fix_depricated.php in separate commit.
I do NOT advice to apply this patch to a production system (it's commited to trunk!), as the automatic modified regular expressions have a good change to break something ...

- size need to be configured in admin >> site config
--> disable no pref to display thumbnail if admin did not configure size

The column names, labels and types can be set by the application or get autodetected by eTemplate. Admins can configure an export limit (max. number of entries to export) or disable the functionality completly for non-admins. The charset for the csv export can be configured in the common prefs. Applications can and have to turn the export explicitly off by setting ['nm']['csv_fields']=false. a014327f05 drag and drop for calendar for all those who cannot wait for cooxdoo or dojoproject :o) - it is disabled by default - if you want to use it you have to go to common preferences and enable drag and drop (last entry before template-specific settings) - just for Mozilla based browsers ATM, all other browsers get auto-disabled - it lacks a lot features, e.g. recurring events and whole day events but this will come - HAVE FUN 2006-12-15 20:05:47 +00:00

These two options limit the visibility of other users. There for they should be forced and apply NOT to administrators.

c85d34c0fe changed the following table-names: 
- phpgw_accounts --> egw_accounts
- phpgw_acl --> egw_acl
- phpgw_log(_msg) --> egw_log(_msg)
- phpgw_config --> egw_config
- phpgw_applications --> egw_applications
This requires code-changes in many apps. Quite often I was able to replace the db access, with calls to the appropreate classes.

9efbee384b The new password wasn't being stored in the session, so it was lost when $GLOBALS['phpgw']['user'] was recreated from session info through class.session.verify. 
This prevented user passwords to be changed more than once per session. I'm sure this caused other bugs I'm not aware of...

cf19aae187 I merged the traditional Chinese translation into the simplified Chinese 
translation file (only those not translated in simplified Chinese).

This is because
1) most simplified Chinese readers can read traditional
Chinese. If some phrase doesn't have simplified Chinese translation,
egroupware better fall back to traditional Chinese then English.
2) Translation can be easier (just pick up the unfamiliar traditional
translation and change to simplified form)

The change is made by using

where merge_tradition.sh is:

Kiang if you like the idea you can merge my translation to your lang
file too. And it's even better if the language engine can be changed in
the way that, as a phrase has no translation for current language,
choose the nearest language before falling back to English. Say, when no
translation in zh, use zt before trying English.

Could it be better that this apply to pt too? (pt-br and pt)

I've tested it with the version RC5. Somebody in taiwan
who offered a series of functions to convert the
encoding from big5 to utf-8. It works fine~ Should I also
